Fernando de Noronha beach in brazil

The archipelago is called Fernando de Noronha. The islands are the remains of volcanic mountains jutting up from the Atlantic. There are twenty small islands, one larger one, and scores of beautiful beaches where clean sand, pure water and fabulous marine life abound.

Claimed by Américo Vespúcio for the Portuguese in 1503, early settlers built a fortress, now in ruins, at Vila dos Remedios, the largest populated town. (See map.) The islands were a prison, then a convenient stopover point for early flights to Europe, and the facilities used by one European airline gave the name AirFrance to a local community. There was also a WW II air base. Today, the Brazilian Air Force maintains a base there.

Although the islands support a large variety of wildlife species, they are relatively unpopulated and tourism is restricted to 420 visitors at a time. In fact, the longer you stay, the higher your permit fee will go. There is one paved road, Brazil's shortest national highway, one hotel and many pousadas which fill to capacity in the summer season.

In the 1970's almost three-quarters of the archipelgo was created into the National Marine Sanctuary of Fernando de Noronha, the PN Fernando de Noronha, to preserve both the land and marine environment. Of particular interest is the nature conservancy effort saving the sea turtles (shown above. Click on the thumbnail for a larger image and description.)

While Fernando de Noronha is now a model environmental protection area, it is also one of Brazil's almost hidden treasure. The clarity and warmth of the water, on the equatorial stream, and the abundant underwater life makes these islands a mecca for divers and snorkelers. There are over two hundred species of fish, plus dolphins, sea turtles, and sharks to view and photograph.

Who says there's only Sakura flowers in Japan?
In the United States also exist. Not only that, the appearance of flowers is celebrated, especially in the spring. It was pretty flowers are blooming. Arguably, once a year celebration that awaited everyone. As a result, Sakura flowers are already beautiful so it feels very special to the momentum of the celebration.

If the Japanese call interest belonging to the genus Prunus and Rosaceae families that Sakura, the Americans and British call it cherry blossom as a flower of the cherry tree, and indeed "cherry" in English is called "Japanese Flowering Cherry '. To mention cherry fruit, the Japanese say "sakuranbo".

Sakura, as well as chrysanthemums, is a Japanese cultural icon. Please note, the cherry blossoms are most popular there is Somei Yoshino. The flowers are white with a tinge of pink in the middle which makes it look more classic cherry.

Somei Yoshino is a favorite of many types of cherry in Japan besides Yamazakura, Yaezakura, Shidarezakura, Kikuzakura, Shogetzu, Kanzan, Fugenzo, Ichiyo and Ukon. Type of the latter have a different color is yellow. While the types of the most unique is Shidarezakura (weeping cherry), which has branches sticking down like tear drops. In America is a popular type of Somei Yoshino and Yaezakura.

Sakura began to blossom around April and May. While there are several types that bloom late fall or midwinter. Sakura is depending on the season. In warm weather, they will bloom more quickly, whereas when the air is cooler, they bloom more slowly.

Time merekahnya also quite short, only lasted about a week or ten days. When broke, then that is usually inhabitants of Japan celebrates Hanami (flower viewing), which is a picnic with friends or family under a row of trees. Obviously when the air was bright and the wind was blowing too hard.

Beauty sakura has a spiritual and philosophical meaning of human life. For the Japanese, the flower symbolizes joy and sorrow, and remind people to always be grateful and appreciate the life and death. In addition, sakura also reminds us that everything has a opposite. There was sadness, there is joy. There is life, there comes a time to die. There was a time broke beautifully and there are times when falling. And a celebration of the cherry blossoms, in Japan and the United States, has a meaning like that.

Then why is the cherry tree can be up to the United States? The story, in 1912, the Japanese government gave some 3,000's cherry tree seedlings as a sign of friendship between the two countries. By the American government, the seeds of trees were planted on land in Sakura Park in midtown and on the edge of the flow of Tidal Basin, Washington DC.

It's a very impressive selection of exotic as well as the surrounding there are many historic buildings for the U.S. society. The buildings that include Washington DC Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House. Not only in these places, then planted a cherry tree seedlings also in several other districts such as Los Angeles, Philladelphia, New Jersey, Georgia, and Washington, Seattle.

Not only grown, flowering plants to enliven the event was also celebrated. Once a year, any early or mid-April, the National Cherry Blossom Festival held in the area of Sakura Park. The goal is clear, except as a reminder of the friendship of two countries, the celebration was also to welcome the arrival of Spring, one of which is marked by the flowering of cherry blossoms. The festival is fully supported by The Japan-America Society of Washington DC at this year held a "49th Annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival". Its location on Pennsylvania Avenue, just around a few blocks from the Sakura Park.

That day, March 28, 2009, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, begins. When the sun shines brightly. Unfortunately, less friendly and the wind was blowing. But that did not dampen the residents who live in around Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia came in droves to see the beauty of Sakura and watching the parade and enjoy the culture and typical food such interest the country of origin.

The festival which lasts for 16 days was so festive. How not fun, just imagine, every year of ceremonies can gather 600 thousand people came. Not only during the festival, they were still coming up as it goes past the cherry efflorescence Spring.

Paradenya itself lasts from 10.00 and just circling around Pennsylvania Avenue. The participants are so diverse. In addition to rows of participants representing various countries were invited, who appeared on stage there is the Cherry Blossom Queen parade, marching band students high school, Miss America 2009 Pageant Katie Stam, until Kimberly Locke, American Idol 2. Not only Kimberly, a series of other local artists did not want to miss the annual festival enliven it. The main stage is located on the front page of the Lincoln Memorial which is a strategic location because it is surrounded views of buildings and historical background of the towering Washington Monument.

Harajuku Relocating

In addition to the National Cherry Blossom Festival, which is not less splendor is the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street. This is a typical Japanese street festival in the largest in the United States. Berlansgsung of his show at 11:00 and 18:00. This year, there are 30 booths involved with a variety of bids. There are booth craft items unique to Japan, kimono, Japanese-style game rides, until the food-beverage-style Western and Japanese. For the latter, visitors staying select from 20 food booths and beverages available.

The festival was only held for one day only. Even so, no less-less entertainment attractions displayed on stage. Not only adults, children also enjoy it because there are some special booth for them. Call it origami booth. Stan is like a playground full of children crowded the busy folding paper to form gulls or other forms. Not only children berorigami Japanese spirit, but also blue-eyed children go try it. Stan is so one of the busiest booths at the festival this time. The booth is a popular kids is Childrenís Corner because they can meet a magician and storyteller Japanese children's stories.

Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street began to be held in 1961 throughout Japan before spreading to other countries, including the United States, especially in Washington DC. In that event, supposing tumplek-tin Japanese culture in a place far from his native region. Yes, we can see ways of life, food, customs celebrations, until the religious population. Anyway AZ perjepangan we can know in a lively festival, complete with beautiful flowers sakuranya. At that time, the so-so forget for a moment that it was not in the United States.

Even more exciting, in the event we can meet and take pictures together with Avatar characters and the Samurai. One more, for those who have been to Harajuku or at least never seen or heard the story of a gathering place for young Japanese, where it can feel like moving to Pennsylvania Avenue. Japanese teenagers milling around dressed festive and unique while chattering happily with their mother tongue.

Interestingly, many adolescent "Caucasian" is also dressed Harajuku style. Hair color red, gothic makeup, with tight leggings and striped thermal shirt stacked lace mini skirt. Coincidence because the seasons are also supporting them wear clothes piled up while protecting from exposure to strong winds and the air is still cold in early spring. No visible difference between Japan and the gang gang Caucasians. Ah yes, that distinguishes, Harajuku "Caucasians" were chattering in English.

Sometimes offerings of young girls to be put alive into the pit. The role of the well is so important because in the Yucatan Peninsula there is no river. The only source of water when the drought hit is from the pits.

The name Chichen Itza means any water on the lips of the people in the local Indian language. Thus, Chichen Itza develop into the center of Mayan culture and economic governance.

That said, Chichen Itza is a symbol of veneration and science. Chichen Itza was founded Toltec king named Quetzalcoatlyang tribe came to the Yucatan Peninsula with his troops. At that time, the Maya have lived in the area, then together Toltec tribes, began to build the temple that resembles a pyramid. Thus, the peak period of Chichen Itza is a mixture of Toltec and Mayan culture.

One of the largest temples established is Kukulkan. Based on the legend of the Maya, Kukulkan is a snake-haired incarnation of the god Quetzalcoatl. Temple of Kukulkan pyramid bertangga form, with the terraces. On each side of the rectangular pyramid there are the steps to the summit. Both temples are like a sister to the temple of El Castilo kembar.Keistimewaan are the steps to the top of the temple. Any date 21Maret and September 23, between day and night of equal length. At that time during the day, the steps of the temple in shadow. So that our eyes deceived, as if there is a lot of snakes up the temple. But the next day at the same time will seem as if the snake down the steps.

In the vicinity of the temple complex there is a statue called the Red Jaguar. According to Bishop Landa, in place of the ceremony is often held the victim. The victims consisted of leopard (Jaguar), turtles, turkeys, dogs or any animal heart. Even sometimes the victims are human too.

Colmar, his Little Venice Town France

Greetings from Germany. This was the first time I ventured to send a text. Hopefully I did not make many mistakes. Perdanaku writing this to tell you the results of photo hunting in Colmar. Happy reading. I do not remember already keberapa time I visited the town of Colmar. Small town in France which is located about 20 km from the border of southern Germany has always fascinated me. The number of old buildings are very beautiful, colorful eyes.

Moreover, I visited during the spring, making the beauty of the enchanting town of Colmar with the flowers on display in the window of every building. The city is often referred to by the nickname "Little Venice" or "La Petite Venise".

Colmar, PerancisKanal Lauch river crossing in the middle of town is used as a means of transportation for tourists to see the surrounding scenery. Maybe this is what inspires the town of Colmar nickname as "Little Venice", as well as the atmosphere in the city of Venice, Italy. Almost the same as Venice, tourists can hire a boat to circumnavigate this channel. One boat can carry eight tourists, with a long trip at least 20 minutes for 6 euros per person.

As well as cities in Europe, Colmar also have some old church buildings that become an arena tour for tourists. The largest Church is the Church of St. Martin, or often called the Cathedral Church. This building stood from the year 1234. When looking at this church, I imagine people skills to build them ancient. Almost more than 700 years this church, but the building is still standing strong.

Colmar, PerancisSaat browse the streets in downtown Colmar, will be found many old buildings that most of the conditions are still well maintained. Old building below is one example. The building was formerly functioning as a hospital. Frequently encountered during the trip is a building painted colorful.

Characteristic of most buildings windows and doors of Europe are unique and colorful. The uniqueness is of course the object of interesting photos. Funny thing is, there is a house that put an old cake pan to be used as a wall decoration in front of his house.

In addition to the old building, a tourist attraction which can be found in Colmar is a museum and art galleries, restaurants and shopping stores and souvenir shops. From a few souvenir shops, there is an interesting one central attention. The shop is a shop that sells mugs bearing the name of the person's drinking.

This store is unique, because it sells a wide range of colorful drinking cups. If we are a little tired through the center of Colmar, we can use a mobile cart that has been provided at a particular stop.

This train will take us around the city center. When we sit in it, will be provided a walkman that serves as tour guides. Of course, these are all not free. We must reach the money 6 Euro for one-way trip of about 15 minutes.

Once we get out of downtown, there is one tourist attraction that we should not miss. True, the photo below is a replica of the Statue of Liberty was the United States. This statue stands in the middle of the highway intersection. That day I was lucky.

Weather in the town of Colmar is very bright. So I can capture this replica with good lighting. After this trip I think, was to visit the town of Colmar I can imagine two places in other parts of the world. One, his Venice Italy, and the other is the city of New York in the United States.

Colmar, PerancisMengunjungi several cities in Europe certainly will bring a distinct impression, if accompanied with the people we love. For the happiness we will give special meaning than if we travel alone. Accidentally, I ran into a pair of lovers who look tenderly holding hands. With stealth, I point the camera to them. Click, terabadikanlah romantic moments. Would not it look beautiful when we see the scenery below?

Thus KoKiers dear. I end my story with a little message, "Discover the world around us. We will amazed to see so much beauty that we encounter."

Island of Capri, Naples Bay

There are three small islands across the Bay of Naples. However, Capri might be the right choice, a tiny island with its beauty was legendary. Nothing wrong with that island is only about 700 thousand inhabitants, offers a million charm. The clear turquoise sea, reefs or white sandy beaches, underwater caves to house relics of the ruins of the Roman Empire.

No wonder when the Capri is considered as one of the best resort in the world. And do not be surprised if the international celebrities make the Capri as one of the favorite places plesirannya.

Long before these Hollywood stars flashed on Capri, the world's superrich men, have often visited Capri. Tiberius, a Roman emperor, even made the Capri as well as his home office. Averse Tiberius lives in Rome, the capital of the Roman Empire. From the Villa Jovis, his private home in Capri, Tiberius ruled the Roman Empire.

Queen Elizabeth also had a private house on the island, although this time the former home of one of Britain's elite has been razed to the ground. Meanwhile, a Swedish doctor, Axel Munthe, build a small kingdom on the hill ini.Jadi island, do not be too surprised if the prices are always perched high on Capri. In fact, sometimes absurd

Prices of food or any other service, is also quite expensive. But, that's Capri. Though expensive, every day, the island was flooded with 5000 visitors. Last summer, visits per day can exceed the local population. And do not be surprised if it should ngantre for some public facilities in this tiny island.

Island of Capri looks solid, though smaller. Cliffs visible reflective waves and seagull chases after fish. Once Caremar, our ferry, docked at Marina Grande, the island's main dock, the smell was so stinging tourism. Berjejeran souvenir shops, the boats - from the simple to the most luxurious though - crammed into the dock. Tourists are milling about everywhere.

One of the natural beauty was named Grotta Azzura. do not be surprised if you hear this phrase, because it looks like one of the late Sutan novel Fate Alisyabanah (STA). Yes. But on this island, Grotta Azzura (blue cave) is not a novel title. However, a cave behind the sea cliff edge so amazing beauty. Indeed there are many caves in the cliffs around the island. But the most fascinating Grotta Azzura.

The mouth of the cave was located in a steep rugged rock coast. To achieve this, of course must use the boat. Do not ask how the beauty in it. Crystal clear blue sea, the cave ceiling is sturdy, as well as reflections of white sand in it, so amazing. Kinclong deh anyway.

The island is small, so it could one day surround all edges. However, it turns out we will need the 3 days and two nights to enjoy it. Nothing, it seems unfortunately miss this island so fascinating day. Moreover, if you do not want to be like tourists paketan: come, see and then go

One that is so fascinating is the house of eccentric Swedish doctor, Axel Munthe. Munthe built his villa with a mix of ancient objects into relics of the emperor Tiberius had his palatial home. The gardens are beautifully decorated with marble Roman statues in it, as well as views to the sea is so fascinating, making this villa is very special.

Moreover, until now the villa is still intact and well maintained. Unlike the former villa of Tiberius Caesar who lives mere rubble. In addition to the beautiful sea views, the former villa of the emperor Tiberius only worn debris.

You also have the opportunity utnuk barrier reef surrounds the island, and you will feel very amazed looking at the boundary between the sea and the island, looks so beautiful. Not surprisingly, every day there is always a cruise ship docked.

While the town of Capri itself, is also unique. There is a main road, but not a few small roads winding. Maybe if in Jakarta just called the gang, because no more than a meter wide. But this only made the streets more and more unique. Only a tiny battery-powered car can go. The rest, yes pedestrians. And once again you do not have to wonder if the hotel you will tujupun through alley way like this. But, that's Capri. Every day, no matter how expensive, tourists continue to flood. (Rn)

As a demonstration of the economy of the building, when the 7300 ton steel structure melted, it will meet the 125 square meters with a depth of 6 cm (2:36 inches), the mean density of 7.8 tonnes of iron per cubic meter. The tower has a mass less than the mass of air in the cylinder with the same dimensions, and 88.3 324 meters radius. Weight tower 10,100 tons when compared with 10,265 tons of air.

Actually planning to build the Eiffel tower in Barcelona, for the Universal Exhibition of 1888, but the responsible parties at the town hall Barcelonamenganggapnya strange and expensive, and does not fit with the city.

After the rejection of Plan of Barcelona, Eiffel send the draft to the party responsible for the Universal Exhibition in Paris, where he built the tower a year later, in 1889. The tower was inaugurated 31 Maret1889, and opened on May 6.

Three hundred workers joined together 18,083 of iron unders (a pure form of structural iron), using two and a half million of nails, in the form of structural by Maurice Koechlin. The risk of accident is very great, for scrapers langitmodern unusual tower is open without the middle level except the two platforms. However, because Eiffel took care, including the use of moving pulley block, auxiliary rails and screens, only one person who died.

The tower is getting criticism from the public when it was built, calling it disturbing eyes. Daily newspapers are filled with letters of criticism from the art community in Paris. One of them included in the publication of the U.S. Government Publishing Office of William Watson of the Paris Universal Exhibition of Civil Engineering, Public Works, and Arsitektur1892.

"And for twenty years we have seen, extends to the entire city, still lived by those geniuses for centuries, we see a stretch like a black shadow of the black columns are built of sheet iron spikes." The signing of this letter includes Messonier, Gounod, Garnier, Gerome, Bougeureau, and Dumas.

The author of the novel [Guy de Maupassant] - who hate the tower - the Tower restaurant lunch every day. When asked why, he replied that it was the only place in Paris where we can not see the Tower. Today, still regarded as the art of striking buildings.

Eiffel tower standing licensed for 20 years, which means it must be dismantled in 1909, when ownership transferred to the City of Paris. The city had planned to tear it down (part of the original contest rules for designing a tower that easily demolished) but after this tower proved extremely profitable in terms of communication, the tower was left standing after the permit expires. The military uses it to arrange a taxi Paris on the front lines during the Battle of the Marne First, and a monument to the victory of the battle.

Forms tower

When the tower was built many people were surprised by its defiant. Eiffel was criticized for the design and forced to try to design something artsy, artsy or not from the side view, with no desire to build. Eiffel and his engineers, known as a builder of bridges, understand the importance of wind power and know that they will build the tallest structure in the world they should mencocokannya the wind.

In an interview reported by the newspaper Le Temps, Eiffel said:

Now for what I give the main reason for its design? The tower is wind resistant. All right! I certify that the curvature of the four outer sides of the tower, as the mathematical calculation (...) will give a nice view of the strength and beauty, and give the impression to anyone who saw the sophistication of the overall design.

Shape of the tower previously been expressed by a mathematical calculation windproof. Some theoretical calculations have been planned for years, most recently the different integral equation nonlineardidasarkan in balancing wind pressure from any side of the tower with the tension between the construction elements at that time. The shape is exponential. Plot dangerous in the arch of the tower, featuring two different exponents, the bottom has a strong defense against the wind.

Installation

Since the beginning of the 20th century, this tower has been used for radio transmission. Until the 1950s, a collection of cable tower extending from the meeting until the end of the Avenue de Suffren and Champ de Mars. They are connected with long-wave transmitters in small bunkers; in 1909, a permanent underground radio center was built near the south pillar and still exists today.

November 20, 1913, Paris Observatory, using the Eiffel Tower as an antenna, sends the signal wirelessly to the Observation Center for the United States Navy who use an antenna in Arlington, Virginia. Object transmission to measure the difference in longitude between Paris and Washington, DC

The tower has two restaurants: Altitude 95, on the first level (95 m, 311 feet above sea level), and Jules Verne, an expensive gastronomical restaurant on the second level, with a special elevator. This restaurant has one star in the Michelin Red Guide. In January 2007, a chef with many Michelin star Alain Ducasse was brought into the Tower to run Jules Verne.

Observation deck on top, with a height of 275 meters, is the highest area of architectural structures in the European Union which opened to the public.

Passenger lifts from ground level to the first level operated by the towing cable and run by a big piston-powered water. When climbing the arch, ride the elevator cabin a bit, but with a surprise rise every few seconds, to keep the level of alignment. Construction elevator is shown and opened to the public in a museum in one of the four pillars of the tower.

Gustave Eiffel tower was perpetuated in seventy-two names of scientists, engineers and other famous people of France. The names were removed at the beginning of the 20th century but the original is returned in 1986-1987 by Société Nouvelle d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel, a company contracted to operate business related to the Tower.

Image copyright claim

Figure tower has long been public domain, but, in 2003 SNTE (Société nouvelle d'exploitation de la tour Eiffel) installed a new lighting on the tower. This effect is aimed at making the other night picture of the tower and the appearance of illumination under copyright.

Granting copyright is controversial. Director of Documentation for SNTE, Stéphane Dieu, commented in January 2005, "It is only intended to maintain the commercial use of images, so it is not used in ways that we do not approve of." But, also may have the effect of prohibiting tourist photographs of the tower at night is spread also spread the image that does not aim for profit and semi-commercial to the tower.

In the latest decision, the Court of Cassation stated that copyright can not be claimed against the image that includes copyrighted building if the photograph covers a larger area. This indicates that SNTE can not claim copyright on photographs of Paris that includes the appearance of the tower.

In some jurisdictions, this copyright claim is not allowed. In Ireland ciptaRepublik rights law, the work "permanently committed in public places or places open to the public" can be freely included in visual reproduction.
